Hurricane Florence





Louisiana's Electric Cooperatives coordinated the deployment of 45 linemen and their accompanying equipment to help restore power in the wake of Hurricane Florence, which struck the East Coast on Sept. 14, 2018. The crew staged in Douglasville, Ga., en route to Horry Electric Cooperative in Conway, S.C., and Coastal Electric in Walterboro, S.C. The following cooperatives participating were: BECi, five men; Jeff Davis Electric, four men; DEMCO, 15 men; SLECA, eight men; WSTE, eight men; NELPCO, five men.
